Ursula Boise Obituary

Ursula M. Boise, age 93, died at her residence in West Liberty, Ohio on Friday, January 20, 2012.

Born October 19, 1918 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Jesse C. & Lura E. (Moore) Poor.

Ursula married Dr. John F. Boise, DDS on October 19, 1941 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1997.

Surviving are two sons: Rex Owen Boise of West Liberty and Bruce Allen Boise of Key West, Florida,
three grandchildren: Eric Boise, Michelle Boise and Meredith Doughty, a great granddaughter: Aaliyah Doughty, her sister: Mary (John) Bates of Shaker Heights, Ohio and her brother, Col. Allen (Jean) Poor, USAF (Retired) of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

A brother and sister-in-law: William & Jean Poor, preceded her in death.

Other Family Members include Nieces & Nephews: Allen Poor Jr.(deceased), Cindy (Thomas) Gamble, Nancy (Kenneth) Dorenkott, Gay (Joseph) Bisheimer, Susan Smith and LeAnn Poor, Cousins: Marguerite White, John Keoppel, Mary Catherine VonGries and Allen Gale, Paul, Chester, Wayne, Murle and Gene Green (All Deceased) and Martha Kennerdell, Kenneth Barker and Joy Keoppel.

Ursula received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. After graduation, she taught in a one room school house in rural Mercer County, then at the Scioto Trails Elementary School in Columbus while her husband attended dental school.

She had an avid interest in genealogy, geology and antiques. She was an excellent cook and baker.

Services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25th at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jonathan Exman officiating. Burial following at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
