Ruth E. Sloane

Ruth E. Sloane, age 66, of Celina, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020, at her residence.

She was born January 14, 1954, in Lima, a daughter of the late Harold L. & Alice (Kidd) Nye.

Ruth is survived by three children: Kristal Sloane of Celina, Jason Sloane (Miranda Lewis) of St. Marys, and Heather Sloane (Michael Huston) of Celina, and eight grandchildren.  

Four brothers and sisters: Paula (Fred) Heise, Jill Nye, and Michelle Rosenacker, all of Cincinnati, and Joel (Carol) Nye, of Oregon, also survive.  

Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Nye.

A Homemaker, Ruth had worked at Burger King and Walmart.  She was a member of the New Burlington Church of Christ.

Ruth enjoyed crocheting, and was a talented seamstress who enjoyed creating Cosplay costumes.

A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
