Ruby Elizabeth Sorah

Ruby Elizabeth Sorah, age 94, of Largo, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at her residence.

She was born September 3, 1925, in Nonesuch, Kentucky, one of eight children of the late Henry and Maggie Hanks Strange.

Ruby's husband, Joseph H. Sorah, preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Jim (Roxann) Sorah of St. Marys and Steven (Carolyn) Sorah of Largo, grandchildren, Michael J. Sorah, Karen E. Sorah, Stephanie Ann Sorah and Melinda Jean (Brian) Pitzer, step-grandchildren, Robin (Mark) Freer, Kriss (Lisa) Schmidt, Gregg (Amy) Schmidt, Erinn (James) Eshelman and Jason Sorrell, and multiple great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven brothers and sisters.

Ruby was a homemaker, and enjoyed collecting antiques.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 15th, at the old Friends Church, 118 N. Pine St. in St. Marys.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Calling Hours are from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM on Saturday, at the Church.
