Rosemary Knapke, age 89, of Celina, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Indiana on January 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Oscar F. and Marie C. (Baker) Schaadt.
Rosemary married Ivo H. Knapke on August 23, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1976.
Surviving are a daughter, Maryanne Knapke of Celina and a sister, Lois Gross of Troy.
Preceding Rosemary in death were four sisters: Margaret Rismiller, Anna Lee Kohlhorst, Norma Mae Utz and Bonnie Lou Martens.
Rosemary was a homemaker and had been an Avon Representative.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Celina and active in the Altar-Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella.
Hobbies of Rosemary's were growing flowers, sewing and crocheting.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10th from 3:30-6:30 P.M. and on Wednesday, January 11th from 9:00-10:15 A.M. at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina. Father Ken Alt, C.PP.S. will preside. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Memorials in memory of Rosemary may be directed to the Immaculate Conception Education Endowment Fund.
