Ronald R. Sherman

Ronald R. Sherman, age 78, of Mendon, passed away May 22, 2020, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

Born October 14, 1941, in McGuffey, Ohio, he was a son of the late Roy Ottowell Sherman and Hazel Levon (Ford) Sherman.

Surviving are his spouse, Ronda Kay Koontz, his three children: daughter, Lisa Sherman and son, Tracy Sherman, both of Kenton, and daughter, Miranda Sherman of Silver Spring, Maryland, and six grandchildren: Zachary Sherman, Zane Sherman, Nicholas Sherman, Samantha Sherman, Trey Sherman and Charlotte Sherman-Johnson.

Four step-children: Rae Wilmarth, Ty Koontz, Renee Schulte, and Tony Koontz, and a number of step-grandchildren, also survive.

Preceding Ron in death were his two brothers, Roy Sherman and Dean Sherman, and the mother of his children, Judy Sherman.

Ron had worked at the Lima Army Tank Plant (Joint Systems Manufacturing Center) and had been a welder in the Lima area.

Favorite pastimes of Ron's were fishing and trapping.
