Rona Book

Rona A. Book, age 69, of Venedocia, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

She was born on November 29, 1942 in Troy, Ohio, the only daughter of the late John & Glorious (Kauffman) Yarger.

Rona married Joe G. Book on July 31, 1965 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2000.

Surviving Rona are a daughter: Karen Book of Powell, Ohio and four brothers: Doug Massie, Dennis Massie, Darrell Massie and Dave Massie. Also surviving is a brother-in-law: Larry Book.

Rona had been employed by the former Huffy Bicycle Plant in Celina. She was an avid flower gardener and a wonderful caregiver for family and friends. She was very concerned about animal welfare and had adopted many four legged friends.

Visitation will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon from 5:30-7:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 25th and from 1-2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 26th.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, with Rev. Donald Clinger officiating.

Burial will be at Tomlinson Cemetery, near Mendon.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to a local humane society or animal shelter.
