Richard Dee Hone

Richard Dee “Dick” Hone, age 70, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021, at his home in Celina. 

Dick was born September 18, 1950, in Celina, to Walter E. & Dorothy J. (Parish) Hone, who both preceded him in death. 

Surviving are two sisters and a brother: Anna Welch of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ronald (Judy) Hone of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Norma Jean Enyart of Celina, a sister-in-law, Kathleen Hone, of Joliet, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by brothers: James Grissom, Robert (Kathleen) Hone and Daniel Hone, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Enyart.

A 1968 graduate of Celina High School, Dick retired as a Supervisor with the General Telephone Company, where he worked for 35 years.

As a pastime, Dick enjoyed working on and using computers and electronics.  He also took pleasure in the vehicles he owned over the years, having had a variety of cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Dick appreciated spending time with his family.  He doted on his nieces and nephews, and they fondly remember being spoiled by their uncle with wonderful gifts at Christmastime.

Services will be held at a later date.
