Rex Owen Boise, age 73, of West Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born November 15, 1950, in Columbus, to the late Dr. John F. Boise, DDS and Ursula M. (Poor) Boise.
Rex is survived by his twin brother: Bruce Allen Boise of Dublin, a nephew: Eric Boise, nieces: Michelle Boise and Meredith Boise, and great nieces: Aaliyah and Paige.
A graduate of Troy High School, Rex received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University. He was employed as an in-house architect for the Columbus Public School System and also for the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Rex was a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and was a state registered and licensed architect.
An avid genealogist, he had done extensive research of his family tree, and was also very interested in history. Rex enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to classical music.
He enjoyed drawing, and was able to create precise freehand renderings of buildings. Rex had a sharp wit, which sometimes got him into trouble.
Private Funeral Services will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Pastor Matt Overman, officiating.
Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
