Ray D. High, age 88, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his residence in Mendon.
Born in Union Township, Mercer County Ohio on February 15, 1924, the son of Ray R. and Mamie Ruth (Spicer) High.
Ray married Glenda Colwell on June 19, 1960 and she survives, along with a son: Larry Joe (Julie) High of Ft. Wayne, IN and two daughters: Debra Lee Conway of Ft. Wayne and Renee (Richard) Flanary of Celina.
Seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, his mother-in-law: Esta Mae Colwell of Mendon, two brothers: Paul (Emily) High of Dayton and Ralph E. (Darrah) High of Mendon also survive.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a grandson: Scott A. Jackson, a sister: Freda High and a son-in-law: Brad Conway.
Ray had attended Mendon-Union High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina, after 41 years of service.
Ray was a member of New Start Church of God, Celina. His hobbies were woodworking and carpentry.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 12 at the New Start Church of God, 7729 U.S. Route 127, Celina, with Pastor John Mobley officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Visitation Hours will be AT THE CHURCH from 4-8:00 P.M., Sunday, March 11 and 1 hour prior to services on Monday.
