Michael J. Nusbaum, age 72, of Celina, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, in the Emergency Room at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born April 8, 1950, in Bluffton, Ohio. His Father, Jack Thomas Nusbaum, and Mother, Marjorie Irene (Mapes) Oglesbee, both preceded him in death.
Mike married Ruth E. (Sheets) Nusbaum, who survives in Celina.
Surviving are his children: Shonda Kay Baker of Piqua, Jerry Michael Nusbaum of Bradford, and Michael Jack Nusbaum Jr. of Decatur, Indiana, and step-children: Joel Evan Sheets, Julie Elizabeth Smith, and Virginia Leona Smith, all of Celina.
Mike is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Denise "Deni" (Art) Millet of Piqua and Susan "Suzy" (Scott) Schulze of Sidney, 3 nieces and a nephew.
A 1968 graduate of Roosevelt Military Academy in Aledo, Illinois, Mike held a variety of jobs over the years. He worked as a contracted route driver for Snyder Snack Products and also 7-Up. He was a manager for Cain's Market in Sidney, and had worked at Midwest Poultry in Fort Recovery.
Mike enjoyed being on or near the water, particularly boating on the lake. Other favorite pastimes were target shooting and playing computer games.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 22, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating.
There will be Calling from 1:00 PM until time of Services on Friday, at the Funeral Home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a Hospice organization of the donor's choice.
