Obituary
Mercedes Elena Ballard, age 31, of Celina, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Darke County.
She was born March 15, 1992, in Coldwater. Her mother, Victoria Reyes, survives in Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving is her fiancé, Caleb Borgerding, of Celina, her children: Emery Jude Bell and Cillian Von Borgerding, her sisters: Kelly Lyme of Celina and Erin Taylor of North Carolina, and a very large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Angelita Elena Garcia.
A 2010 graduate of Coldwater High School, Mercedes was employed at Totally Promotional in Coldwater.
Mercedes enjoyed music, watching scary movies, and endless reruns of "The Office" TV show. Fall and Halloween were her favorite times of the year, and she loved decorating for the season.
Most of all, Mercedes enjoyed just being around her family.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Saturday, September 9th, from 12:00 Noon to 3:30 p.m., with Services to follow at 3:30.
Memorial Contributions may be made for her children.
