Former Celina resident, Marjorie M. McElroy, age 82, passed away at 3:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Indiana. She was currently residing in Monroe, Indiana.
Born on May 14, 1929 in Van Wert County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Iva B. (Uncapher) Walser.
Marjorie and Robert E. McElroy were married on June 1, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2008.
Surviving are six children: Ralph W. (Patty) McElroy of Wapakoneta, Deborah K. McElroy of Houston, TX, Delores A. (Mark) Hart of Portland, IN, Bonnie L. (Steve) Baker of Rockford, OH, Robert E. (Macaria) McElroy of San Diego, CA and George D. McElroy of Monroe, IN. Also surviving are a son-in-law: Jerry Morris of Kilmarnock, VA and 23 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
A daughter: Cynthia Morris preceded her in death, along with two sisters: Edith E. Mosier and Bertha I. Walser.
Marjorie graduated from Ridge High School in Middle Point, OH.
In 1992, she retired from Green Bay Foods in Eaton Rapids, MI, where she worked as a packer. Marjorie was a Homemaker, and enjoyed many types of needlecrafts including knitting, crocheting, quilting and embroidery, and was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She had attended Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Decatur.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 3rd from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and 9:30-10:30 A.M., on Friday, May 4th. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Pederson officiating.
Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
