Marilyn Sue (Bell) Reedy, age 79, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born August 6, 1945, in Lima, the middle child of nine, to the late Winford D. and Anna M. (Wallace) Bell.
Marilyn married Billy G. Reedy, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1982.
Surviving are their children: Rick (Jill) Reedy of Englewood and Sherri (Shepard) Reedy of New Paris, 10 grandchildren: Rodney Reedy, Tori Mittie, Heidi Reedy, Gerald (Jerrica) Estes, Adam Shiflett, Nicholas Reedy, Natasha (Mark) Bryant, Michael Reedy, Ben Shephard, and Devon Shephard; and 15 great grandchildren, including Aedyn Reedy.
Also surviving are her sisters: Marsha (Dan) Stant of Mendon, and Deb Huston and Sue Braun (Javier Posada) of Celina.
Marilyn was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Shirley (Harold) Higbie, Ed (Norma) Bell, Gene (Joyce) Bell, Sandy (Dick) Houser, and James Bell; granddaughter, Alexus Reedy, and a brother-in-law: Wayne Huston.
She had attended Mendon-Union High School, was a homemaker, and attended the First Baptist Church.
Marilyn was a "Tough Cookie", and had battled many health issues.
She enjoyed playing the organ, and watching Wrestling and Science Fiction shows.
Marilyn's favorite activity was spending time with her grandkids.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Thursday, August 29, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service to follow, beginning at 11:00. Pastor Bud Walls will officiate.
Burial take place at Calvary Cemetery, in rural Auglaize County.
