Margaret Weitz Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth (Now) Weitz, Age 103, of Hillsboro, Ohio,
went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2013. A Mercer County Ohio native, she was born in Hopewell Township, near Celina on September 20, 1909, the daughter of John H. & Nettie (Smith) Now.

Margaret and Clarence Weitz were married on October 4, 1930. She and her Husband lived in the Celina area until 1989, when they moved to Xenia to be near their family.
Clarence preceded her in death on January 8, 1995. Margaret later moved to Hillsboro, residing at Heartland Nursing Home, where she passed away.

Surviving are 2 Daughters: Patricia Brewer of Hillsboro and Virginia (Lavern) Musselman of Xenia, Ohio,
a Daughter-in-law: Alice Weitz of Beavercreek, Ohio, as well as 12 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren, 4 Step-Great Grandchildren,
25 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a Son: Max E. Weitz, a Brother: Herbert Now, 4 Sisters: Beulah Bradford, Laveda Baucher, Loretta Fast and Mabel Koontz and 2 Sons-in-law: Norman Gottschalk and Ed Brewer.

Margaret was a 1927 Graduate of Celina High School and had worked at the Celina Public Library and the Gamble Store in Celina. A Life Member of the Pleasant View Church of God near Celina, she had served as an Organist and Pianist there, and also held various other offices in the Church. She was a Charter Member of the Hopewell Grange in Celina and a Member of the Auxiliary of the Gideons.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of God, 850 Fairground Rd. in Celina on Monday, January 28 at 2:00 P.M.,
with Reverends Curtis Randolph and Bruce Strine officiating.
Burial will be at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.

Calling Hours are 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 27
at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, 218 W. Market St., Celina
and from 1:00 P.M. until time of Services on Monday at the Church.
