Margaret Ruth Ellis

Margaret R. "Maggie" Ellis, age 78, of Celina, died January 15, 2012 at her daughter's residence.

Born in Celina on March 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. and Roie A. (Gaskill) Vorhees.

Maggie married Charles E. Ellis on December 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1991.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debra & Jim Fishbaugh and a granddaughter, Angela Fishbaugh, all of Celina. One sister, Marcille Smith, of Celina also survives, along with nieces and nephews.

Preceding Maggie in death were a brother, Paul Vorhees and a sister, Avanell Baker.

She attended Celina City Schools and had been a homemaker.

Hobbies of Maggie's were fishing and feeding ducks on the lake. She had enjoyed spoiling an outdoor cat with special treats. Shopping was also a favorite pastime.

Private visitation will be held for the family. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 18th at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, the Rev. Lee Ellis officiating.

Memorials in Maggie's memory may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice or the family.
