Madlyn Ann Bilter, age 85, of Celina, peacefully passed on to her Heavenly Home on April 13th at The Gardens at Celina.
She was born March 24, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to Ralph and Hazel Birt.
On June 26, 1949 she married Donald Charles Bilter, who passed away May 26, 1995.
She is survived by her 4 children, Denny (Faith) Bilter of Marriottsville, Maryland, Brenda (Tom) Lange of St. Henry, Debra (Mike) Williams of Rockford and
Shelly (Mark) Shaw of Celina, a sister, Patsy Springer Abels of Lakeland, Florida, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, Robert, Richard & Billy Rogers and James Birt and a granddaughter, April Williams Vann.
She graduated from Celina High School in 1947. She was a GTE Telephone Operator, a Sales Clerk for Barr's Five and Dime Store in Celina, and had worked for Home Health Care.
She was a member of the Red Hat Club, the Sunshine Singers, and the First Presbyterian Church in Celina, where she served several terms as a deacon, and was a choir member.
Madlyn loved her family very much, and enjoyed life and being with family and friends. She loved planting flowers and taking care of them. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the piano and organ.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and Wednesday, April 17 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Celina First Presbyterian Church, with Funeral Services to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Celina and State of the Heart Hospice in Coldwater, In Memory of Madlyn Ann Bilter.
