Lorella "Sue" DeVall

Lorella "Sue" DeVall, age 82, of Celina, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Celina Manor.

She was born April 21, 1942, in Tunnelton, West Virginia, to the late Floyd E. and Blanche W. (Bain) Freeland. 

Surviving is her daughter, Yvonne Worley of Montgomery, Texas, and son, Mike (Tammy) DeVall of Coldwater, as well as five grandchildren: Travis Thomas, Trishina Jeffries, Sara DeVall, Heather DeVall, and Garrett DeVall, ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother and two sisters: Roger Freeland of Mendon, Jean (Dick) Courtney of Rockford, and Wanda Freeland of Celina.

Preceding her in death was a brother: Ronald (Marilyn) Freeland, sister: Janet (Patrick) Schafer, and a sister-in-law, Judy Freeland.

Sue worked for many years at the Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina, and also had been a waitress at the Motor Inn in Mercer.

She was a member of the Celina Eagles Lodge #1291 and VFW Post #5713 Ladies Auxiliaries. 

Sue was a Fireball, and loved to put you in your place.  She enjoyed crafts, gardening - particularly her rose garden, and spending time with family.

Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Friday, July 12, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m.  Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Randy Christian officiating.   

Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
