Lockie Imogene Wheeler, 80, of Celina, died at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima on Thursday, December 15, 2011.
Born January 21, 1931 in Braggadocia, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy (Glidwell) Neal.
Lockie married Albert Hawkins and he is deceased. She married Eugene Jerome "Jack" Wheeler on August 4, 1982 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2006.
Surviving are three sons: Bill (Pat) Hawkins of Wabash, IN and Jim (Linda) Hawkins and John Hawkins, both of Celina and two daughters: Diane (Allan) Rathburn of Kalamazoo, MI and Nancy Hawkins of Maria Stein.
Lockie was a grandmother to 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and a brother survive in Missouri: Sue (Al) Ross, Josie (Paul) Starnes and J.R. (Vada) Neal.
Also surviving are 4 step-daughters, Ella (William) Sanchez of Corona, CA, Cheryl (Ray) Willis of Lima, Jacklene (Ronald) Wick of Sidney and Kathlene (Terry) Reiff of Rockford.
Preceding her in death were a brother: William Neal, a sister: Ruby Roy, two step-sons: Robert Jerome and Cecil Eugene, and a step-daughter: Anita Jane.
Lockie was a homemaker and had worked at the former Huffy Bicycle Plant in Celina for many years. Her hobby was quilting.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 19th, with the Rev. Herstle Griffis officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 - 6 P.M., Sunday, December 18th and 10 - 11 A.M. Monday, December 19th.
