Linus C. Jutte, age 83, of Celina, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.
He was born February 15, 1937, in Mercer County, the youngest child of Samuel & Clara (Guggenbiller) Jutte. His parents preceded him in death, along with all of his brothers and sisters.
Linus is survived by his children: Patrick Jutte of Venedocia, Chris (Scott) Pierstorff of Celina, Jackie (Keith) Hansel of St. Marys, Donna (Mike) Woodcock of Auburn, Indiana and Jerry (Jackie) Jutte of Celina, as well as 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Betty Jutte, of Fort Recovery.
Linus was the owner and operator of Jutte’s Celina Engine Service. Over the years, he had worked at Mersman Furniture and Jack Kerns Chevrolet in Celina, ICM in Van Wert, and was a bus driver for Celina City Schools.
Linus was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, VFW Post #5713, and the Knights of Columbus Council #1800, all of Celina. Some favorite pastimes were repairing and restoring scooters, motorcycles, and cars.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, with burial to take place at St. Henry Cemetery.
