Lillian Vanover Obituary


Lillian Vanover, age 77, passed away Saturday morning, August 8, 2020, at her residence in Mendon.

She was born July 31, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Daniel Paul Sr. and Lucille Frances (Breeze) Paul.

Lillian is survived by her son, Bruce A. (Rita Wilson) Paul of Mendon, grandchildren: Heather (Nathan) Baltzell, Robert (Katie) Paul, Shana (Doug Parks) Chaney and kids, Brandy (Damien) Kroft and kids, and Billy (Brooke Roberts) Vanover and kids, great grandchildren: Jasmine Paul, Debra Maxwell, and Tamara Baltzell, sister, Margaret Ruth (Jr. Owens) Briley of Carrollton, KY, and a sister-in-law, Judy Paul of Nicholasville, KY.

She was preceded in death by a sister & three brothers: Katherine (Ronnie) Cotterman, Richard (Audrey) Younger, Samuel Paul Sr. and Daniel Paul Jr.

Lillian had attended Celina High School and worked at Otterbein in St. Marys in the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.  She was a member of American Legion Post #210 and Eagles Lodge #1291 in Celina.

Lillian dearly loved spending time with her family and her dog, Sheba.  Other favorite pastimes were reading, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, garage sale-ing and adult coloring books.

Calling Hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 11, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.  Those attending are required to wear masks, and are asked to practice social distancing as much as possible, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Health and Governor DeWine.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or to a charity that supports animals.
