Former Celina resident, Laura Leona Franck, age 94, passed away at The Gardens at St. Henry on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
Born on May 9, 1917 in St. Wendelin, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank and Clara (Pohlkamp) Brunswick.
On May 4, 1938, Laura married Leo B. Franck, who died December 25, 1991.
She is survived by 10 Children:
Marvin (Pat) Franck, Marlene (Tom) Olding, Virgil (Margaret) Franck, Judy (Kumar) Vakkalanka, Janice Bighouse (Sam Rosengarten), Maurice (Annette) Franck, Wayne (Connie) Franck, Alvin (Pamela) Franck, Ruth (Fred) Wuebker and Mary Beth (William) Heckman. Also surviving are 34 Grandchildren, 60 Great Granchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and 2 Sisters-in-law: Rita and Luella Franck.
Preceding Laura in death were: An Infant Daughter: Mary, a Son-in-law: Paul Bighouse, 2 Grandsons, A Great Granddaughter, her Siblings and their spouses: Frances (Ray) Stachler, Hilda (Ray) Bruggeman, Clarence (Catherine) Brunswick, John Brunswick, Bernard Brunswick, Ray (Agnes) Brunswick and Ed (Helen) Brunswick, and 10 In-laws and 8 of their spouses.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Celina and the Altar Rosary Sodality of the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 28 at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina.
Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina, where Laura will be laid to rest next to Leo, her husband of nearly 54 years.
Calling Hours are from 2 - 8:00 PM, Friday, April 27 and 9 - 9:45 AM on Saturday, April 28 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
