John Mitchell Gray

John Mitchell Gray, age 66, of Celina, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 29, 2026.

He was born July 28, 1959, in Celina, to Jack and Wilma (Schnelle) Gray Sr.

Survivors include his daughter: Shannon (Nate) Wills and brothers: Jack “Bunk” (Diana) Gray, Marc Gray, Tim Gray, and Scott (Kelli Gillis) Gray, all of Celina; grandchildren: Kayana, Nolan and Olive Wills, and beloved nieces & nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Ginger Gray and Lisa Kidder; brother: Jeff Gray; and beloved niece & nephews: Dereck Gray, Darin Gray, Jeff Gray II, and Jennifer Gray.

John worked as a driver for area Amish workers the last 14 years.  He was a social member of Celina VFW Post #5713.

His favorite pastimes included playing cards with fellow patrons at the local VFW, spending time with family, horse racing, and rooting on the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

A gathering of family and friends to honor John’s life is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 13th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.

A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at Celina VFW Post #5713.
