Jessica Lynn Woods

Jessica Lynn Woods, age 38, of Pompano Beach, Florida, a former Celina resident, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

She was born October 10, 1985, in Coldwater, to John Woods and Jeanette (Kuhn) Herron.  Her parents, John (Marisa) Woods and Jeanette (Jeff) Herron, all survive in Celina.

Jessica leaves behind her daughter, Madison J. Mullins, twin brother, Jeremy Woods, and brother, Justin Woods, all of Celina, and four sisters: Kelsey Woods and Jennifer Woods, of Celina, Kylie Woods of Wapakoneta, and Angela (Joe) Criswell of Celina.  Her paternal grandmother, Vina Woods, survives in Celina, and maternal grandparents: Robert and Barbara Kuhn, survive in Marion, Indiana.  Other survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gerald "Buss" Woods and an aunt, Tammy Sue (Woods) Butler.

A 2004 graduate of Celina High School, Jessica had served in the U.S. Army Reserve.  Jessica was free-spirited and liked to travel.  Her hobbies involved doing anything outdoors - fishing, hiking, and being around the ocean.  On her off days, Jessica enjoyed doing adult coloring, reading, painting, cooking, and a variety of arts and crafts.

As an organ donor, on February 22nd, Jessica was able to save the lives of three individuals.

Visitation for Jessica will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, ​at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. ​​ Celebration of Life Services will begin at 3:00, with Ronnie Hagaman officiating.  A Dinner will be held following the service, at Celina VFW Post #5713.   

The family will be dressed casually, wearing tie dye shirts and Converse shoes in honor of Jessica, and they encourage everyone to join in the theme.
