James V. Babka

James V. Babka, age 73, of Celina, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Mercy Health - St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on January 24, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Harry and Betty (Navarski) Babka. 

Jim married Barbara McCully, who survives in Celina.   

Also surviving are two sons: James Jason Babka of California and Josef Damion Babka of Missouri, four step-children: P.J. (Darra) Lehr and Jimmy (Tesia) Mallory, all of Dayton, and Kelly Mallory Jr. and Angela (Dustin) Heath, all of Celina, and 14 grandchildren.

A sister, Suzanne (George) Mores, survives in Wyoming, as well as nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a daughter-in-law, Patricia Babka.

Jim was a crane operator for various companies across the United States.  He had also worked as a welder in Wyoming.

Favorite activities were: riding Harley's, playing pool, darts, and bowling.  He liked tinkering - making and fixing things.  Jim enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
