Hazel Fireoved Obituary

Hazel Margaret Fireoved, Age 91, of Mendon,
passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013
at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford.


Born August 16, 1921 in Center Township, Mercer County Ohio, she was the daughter of Purn Ray & Rhoda Hannah Newcomb Copeland.


She married Lawrence Delbert Donovan August 16, 1940,
and he died in 1949.


Hazel and Wayne Eugene Fireoved were married May 30, 1956, and he survives, along with 2 Sons: Larry Roger Donovan of Dryden, Michigan
and Dennis ( Ann ) Fireoved of Mendon, A Daughter: Lori ( Nathan ) Weaks of Swanton,
8 Grandchildren: Roger ( Karen ) Donovan, Cinda ( Art ) Nelson,
Lindsay, Evan & Ariel Weaks, Kelsey Springer and Ethan & Austin Fireoved
and 3 Great Grandchildren: Jacob Nelson and Steven & Brian Donovan.


Also preceding her in death were 7 Siblings: Nellie Markley Miles, Alberta Pfost Shock, Mary Foster, Grace Now,
Mae Rogers, Carl Copeland and G. Robert Copeland and a Son: James Ray Donovan, who died in 1944.

A graduate of Center Township High School in Neptune, Ohio, Hazel was a member of the Mendon Garden Club and Mendon United Methodist Church,
and had formerly been a member of the Mercer United Methodist Church.


She had helped run the Midway Inn Restaurant at Mercer, Ohio for several years
and worked at Reynolds + Reynolds Printing Service for 6 years. Hazel was a
homemaker, genealogist, flower gardener, family historian and octogenarian
Facebook user.


Funeral Services are 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 16 at Mendon United Methodist Church.
Reverend Don Clinger will officiate. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.


Visitation is 2:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, March 15
at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon
and an hour before Services on Saturday at the Church.


Memorial Contributions may be made to Mendon United Methodist Church.
