Genevieve "Peg" Thees Heppeard

Genevieve "Peg" Thees Heppeard, age 91, of Celina, died at Celina Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 31st.

Born October 4, 1920 in Toledo,
to Roy & Ruth E. "Petie" Tester Saunders.

Peg married Frederick B. Thees Sr. on April 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1967.
She then married Chester S. Heppeard on October 11, 1998 and he died March 2, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by
a son: Frederick B. "Heav" Thees Jr., who died May 30, 2001, a daughter: Kathy M. Hymer, who died January 10, 2009, and a grandson: Kyle R. Andrews, who died April 14, 1992.

Peg is survived by a daughter: Karen L. Andrews (John Kuhn) of Celina, 4 grandchildren: Ryan Andrews of Celina, Darren & Calli Slusser of Arizona and Jason Thees of Indiana, 6 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Step-Daughters: Susan & Marjorie.

A Homemaker, Peg had also worked at Celina Insurance Group and the Celina Radio Hospital.

A 1938 Celina High School graduate. Peg loved and enjoyed her animals, especially "Miss Kitty", who survives.

Funeral Services will be 9:00 A.M., Saturday, February 4th at the Celina Funeral Home, with Reverend Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery. Calling Hours are 5 - 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 3rd.
