G.M. Alspaugh, age 85, of Celina, passed away at 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
Born October 16, 1925 in Willshire, OH, he was the son of Arnold & Ruah (Clouse) Alspaugh.
He is survived by:
4 Sons: Albert (Dayle) Alspaugh of Rockford, Terry (Beth) Alspaugh of Decatur, IN, Mark (Rhonda) Alspaugh of Celina & Todd (Melissa) Alspaugh of Greenville; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and 2 Sisters: Ruth Dunlap of Florida & Joy Steele of Decatur.
He married Bonnie Burke on January 11, 1948 and she is deceased, along with their Daughter: Peggy Alspaugh, who died November 15, 2006 and his Brother: Eben Alspaugh.
He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation in Celina, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, and a graduate of Willshire High School.
He was a self-employed plasterer in the Rockford and Willshire areas, and had worked at Decatur Industries for many years.
Memorial services will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2011, at
the Rockford Village Community Center at Shane's Park. David Burden will officiate.
Memorial donations in honor of G.M. may be made to the Celina Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
