Elsie Winner Obituary

Elsie J. (Vonderheide) Winner, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2013.

She was born Oct. 4, 1937 in Fort Loramie, OH to the late Albert and Rose Vonderheide.

She was married to Donald A. Winner on June 24, 1961 who preceded her death along with brothers Leonard, Richard and Bert Vonderheide, and sisters Edna, Emma, Dorothy, Mary, and Irene.

Elsie battled cancer with grace and courage and is now experiencing a joyous reunion with family and friends in heaven.

She is survived by her children: Diane (Cliff) Cerbus, Deborah (Bob) Glass, David (Amy) Winner, Dan Winner, Dean (Crista) Winner, 10 grandchildren, and sisters Kathryn and Norma.

Elsie retired after 27 years of service at Coldwater hospital. During retirement she obtained a college degree in Dietary Management with the goal of benefiting the health of others through proper nutrition.

Faith was the foundation of her life and was clearly evident to anyone she met. She was a bold witness and never shied away from sharing her faith. Elsie's Godly example enabled each of her children to accept Christ at an early age. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
