Debra E. Hole, age 68, of Celina, passed away Monday evening, December 21, 2020, at Mercy Health - St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born August 27, 1952, in Celina. Her mother, Betty Jean (Sibert) Barton Gardner, survives in Angola, Indiana. Her father, Erchel Sanford Barton, is deceased.
Debra married David Duane Hole on September 19, 1975, and he preceded her in death January 16, 2016.
Surviving is their son, Derrick (Leslie) Hole of Lima, her stepchildren: Tambra (Josh) Kimmel, Tracy Hole (Nikki Fabian), and David (Nikki) Hole, all of Celina, step-grandchildren: Dustin & Abbey Wyatt, and Johnathan, Britton & Marissa Hole, 5 step great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth (Denny) Steele of Fremont, Indiana, and 2 brothers: Dean (Lisa) Gardner and Greg Gardner of Angola.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Barbara) Hole of Fort Wayne, Wanda Hole of St. Marys, and Norman Tidwell of New Bremen.
Deb was also preceded in death by Dave's brothers & sisters: Althea (Gene) Staugler, Robert Jr. "Bud" (Regina) Hole, Marie (Kenny) Laux, Mary Alice (Ken) Reid, Merrill (Jennie) Hole, Margie Tidwell, Lloyd Hole and Dennis Hole, and her parents-in-law: Robert & Eva (Hill) Hole.
A 1970 graduate of Celina High School, Deb had worked at Huffy Bicycles in Celina and Fleetwood RV in Decatur. She was a Celina City Schools bus driver for the last 18 years, most recently driving Bus #16.
Deb was a member of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She loved all animals, especially dogs, and her pets, Zoey the dog and Thobe the cat. Deb enjoyed watching dirt track racing at Eldora.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, December 28th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Jon Exman officiating. Visitation is before the Service on Monday, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
