Dallas E. Pierstorff

Dallas Ernest Pierstorff, age 83, of Celina,
passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013
at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.


He was born August 12, 1929 in Celina
to Edward E. & Hazel L. (Fast) Pierstorff.


Dallas and Kathryn "Kitty" Gengler were married on November 4, 1951, and she survives, along with 2 Daughters: Diane (Barry) Fennig of Celina and Rebekah Pierstorff Snead of St. Augustine, FL, a Son: Eric (Jodi) Pierstorff of Celina, 7 Grandchildren: Katie (Brian) Houts of Celina, Jessica (Mitch) Mullins of Celina, Megan Fennig of Trenton, MI, Oscar Snead of St. Augustine, FL, Rachel (Jeremy) Post of Celina,
Sarah (Robert) Chaney of West Milton and Joshua Pierstorff of Celina, 6 Great Grandchildren, and a Sister-in-law: Marjorie Pierstorff of Celina.


He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Brother, Edson Pierstorff.


Dallas didn't know a stranger and was a wonderful Father. He was a true "Renaissance Man" with many interests. His creative pursuits included painting, photography, woodworking and woodcarving. A nature lover, Dallas enjoyed walking in the woods, bird watching and gardening.

A Graduate of Celina High School, Dallas served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina and past member of the Celina Masonic Lodge.
He retired from General Telephone (GTE), where he had worked as a Switchman.

Funeral Services are 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 27 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, with Reverends Matt Reynolds and Steve Whetstone officiating. Burial will be at Buck Cemetery, near Celina.


Calling Hours are 3:00 - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 26 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina
and an hour prior to Services on Wednesday at the Church.
