Clara Mary Adams, Age 98, of Celina, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her daughter's residence in Celina.
She was born February 11, 1914 in Osgood to Joseph & Anna ( Leugers ) Elking.
She married Rolland P. "Pete" Adams on November 25, 1935 and he died May 20, 1971.
Clara is survived by a Daughter: Connie ( Mike ) Fuller of Celina,
2 Brothers: Don ( Clara ) Elking of Coldwater and Paul ( Mary Ann ) Elking of Celina, 2 Step-Grandchildren, 1 Step-Great Grandchild and "Bo" her beloved "Granddog".
She was preceded in death by a Brother: George "Cookie" Elking.
Clara was a Homemaker and had been self-employed in her own wallpaper business. She volunteered at the C.A.L.L. Food Pantry in Celina.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina
and had attended Immaculate Conception High School.
Clara was an avid gardener, growing both flowers and vegetables, and often supplied all the neighbors with her produce.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 9 at
Immaculate Conception Church, Celina. Father Ken Alt will preside.
Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are 3:00 - 9:00 P.M., Monday, October 8 and 9:30 - 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday at
W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Health Professionals of Celina.
