Carolyn Zizelman Obituary

 

Carolyn S. Zizelman, age 73, of Celina, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024.

She was born March 22, 1950, in Celina, to Gillis "Whitey" and Edna (Bailey) Dennis, who both preceded her in death.

Carolyn and Gail Zizelman were joined in marriage on November 18, 1967.  He survives, along with 2 daughters and a son: Teresa (Rob) McKee and Scott (Theresa Boeckman) Zizelman of Celina, and Wendy (Steve) Benny of Wapakoneta, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother and sister: Gary Howard and Mona (Larry) Shinabery, of Celina, and many nieces and nephews.   

Carolyn's brother, Kenny Dennis, passed away on February 15th, just 2 weeks after her death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Zizelman, brother: Colonel Howard, sister: Gilda Trobridge, and parents-in-law: Willard & Virginia Zizelman. 

Carolyn was a 1969 graduate of Celina High School.  She was a homemaker, and had been employed by Huffy Bicycles for over 20 years, then worked at Aeroquip/Eaton in Van Wert.

Carolyn loved her dogs, going to thrift stores, garage sales, "running the roads", shopping, socializing, spending time with her grandkids, growing flowers, and helping on the farm.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to Regina Howard.

A Celebration of Life with a meal to be served following, will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23rd, at the PBS Building, located at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina.
