Bruce Thurston

Bruce Thurston, age 71, of Celina, passed away September 11, 2025, at his residence.

He was born December 16, 1953, to the late James Earl and Beulah Grace (Lewis) Thurston.

He is survived by a sister and 2 brothers: Linda Thurston of Miamisburg, Phillip (Nida) Thurston, who resides in the Philippines, and Timothy Thurston of Celina; as well as 6 nieces & nephews: Julie Smith, Duane Thurston, Angie Works, Joseph Thurston, Theresa Freniere, and Derrick Orlik.

Bruce was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother: Angie Thurston, Gary (June) Thurston, and Vickie (Sonny) Byers. 

He was a graduate of Celina High School, and retired from the Celina City School system, where he had worked as a custodian.   

Bruce faithfully attended Celina Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir.
