Alberta M. Clay, 92, Mendon, died March 7, 2011, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford.
She was born July 18, 1918, in Van Wert County to the late Thomas G. and Noretta Mae Sweigart Rider.
On Sept. 24, 1938, she married Darrel W. "Boogie" Clay, who died Jan. 16, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Clay, Mendon, and Jerry (Sheryl) Clay, Mendon; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a grandson; two brothers, Carl Rider and Harry Rider; five sisters, Mahala Richards, Elizabeth Metzger, Anna Glass, Violet Haggard and Alice Fry.
She was a bookkeeper for Clay Automotive, formerly of Mendon, and was a member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church in Monticello.
Calling was 4-8 p.m. Wednesday March 9th at W. H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial was at Mendon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
