Terry L. Brookhart, age 78, of Celina, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born March 27, 1941, in Mendon, to the late Vincent and Pauline ( Poor ) Brookhart.
Terry and Patricia Sanders were married on July 26, 1960, and she survives with their four children: Angela ( Dean ) Young of Hilton Head, SC, Jill ( Ron ) Hammer of Ashland, OH, Brett ( Sara ) Brookhart of Tipp City, OH, and Trisha Brookhart of Chester, CT; as well as twelve grandchildren: Kady ( Jon ), Ryan ( Becca ), Jake, Ally, Brooks ( Melissa ), Taylor, Tyler, Megan, Kaylee, Addison, Elliot, and Samantha; and three great grandchildren: Ean, Hudson and Stella.
He is also survived by a sister & two brothers: Sondra Hesse of Dunkirk, OH, Randy ( Beth ) Brookhart of Wapakoneta, and Victor Brookhart of Celina; and brothers & sisters-in-law: Norma "Skeet" ( Woody ) Wolters of Coldwater, Tom ( Sue ) Sanders of Celina, and Jill Sanders of Wapakoneta.
Terry was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Dale Hesse and Larry Sanders, and parents-in-law, Ted & Annette Sanders.
He was a 1959 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina.
Terry had been a Purchasing Agent at New Idea in Coldwater for over 20 years, and then retired from Textron in Berne, IN.
An avid sports fan, Terry was a longtime Celina Bulldog Football Fan, attending all their games. He followed the OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds, and was an avid golfer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 13, at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. Fr. Tim McFarland, C.PP.S., will preside. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Celina.
Calling Hours are 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, and 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. on Monday, January 13, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
