Sharon Ann McMillan

Sharon Ann McMillan, age 76, of rural Coldwater, passed away at 2:55 A.M., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at her residence. 

She was born on October 20, 1942, in Celina, the only child of Carl J. & Alice A. (Grieshop) Mertz, who are both deceased.

Sharon married Tom McMillan on August 9, 1963, and he survives, along with their four children: Kimberly (David) Miller of Canal Winchester, Melinda (Tim) Martin and Nancy McMillan of Celina, and Thomas McMillan of Beavercreek; and six grandchildren: Paige Martin, Miles Martin, Bailey Martin, Alysha Arata, Derek Arata and Alana Miller.

Also surviving are brothers & sisters-in-law:  Larry (Judy) McMillan of Walworth, New York and Gayle (Bill) Davis of Oceanside, California.    

Preceding her in death was a sister-in-law and her husband, Gwen & Owen Ashbaugh.

A 1960 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Celina, Sharon went on to earn her RN degree in 1963, from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Dayton.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Terry Roode in Celina for many years. 

She was a member of the Erastus United Methodist Church.   Sharon enjoyed gardening, and liked traveling, going camping, and being with her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 9, at Erastus United Methodist Church, 5507 Erastus Durbin Rd., Celina.  Burial will follow at Macedon Cemetery, in Washington Township. 

Calling Hours are 3:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, November 8, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and an hour prior to time of services on Friday, at the Church.
