Pamela Jean (Thomas) Vannett

Pamela Jean ( Thomas ) Vannett, age 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2018, at the CHP Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center, following an extended illness. 

She was born July 9, 1952 in Van Wert, the only daughter of the late Ray & Freda ( Dilbone ) Thomas.

On April 13, 1969, she married William Neal "Bill" Vannett, and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Pam is survived by her two Sons: Brian N. Vannett ( Renee Ward ) of Delphos, and Brad A. Vannett ( Joanne ) of Van Wert.

Other surviving family members are four Grandchildren: Taylor of Van Wert, and Hannah, Nathan, and Nolan Vannett of Delphos, a Brother, Allen "Jim" Thomas of Convoy, Sisters-in-law, Sharon Thomas of Coldwater and Jayne Norton of Celina, and many Nieces & Nephews.  

She was preceded in death by five Brothers: Gene, Jerry, Ronnie and Billie Thomas, and Max McNutt.

Pam attended Mendon-Union High School and had worked at Van Crest for many years as a housekeeper.  

She enjoyed all the area festivals, parades, and fairs. Pam's favorite was the Kalida parade, and she always looked forward to the Van Wert County Fair. 

Pam always had pets in her life, mostly dogs.  Her favorite hobby was putting together jigsaw puzzles.

She loved being a Grandma.  Pam loved all her Grandkids, and enjoyed watching them play.

Calling Hours are at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, on Saturday, October 27, from 2:00-4:00 P.M., followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 4:00.  Linda Linn will officiate.
