Chester Lee "Chet” Flowers, age 60, a former resident of Celina, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at his home in Eaton.
He was born June 25, 1958, in Van Wert, a son of the late John Jr. & Florence W. (Pegan) Flowers.
Surviving are his Daughter, Nicole Leaker of Eaton, the Mother of his Children, Vickie Salmons of Shawnee, and two Grandchildren: Aldin Lee Leaker and Spencer Kelly Leaker.
He is also survived by a Brother & three Sisters: Carolyn Younker of Celina, Harold "Wayne" (Sheila) Flowers of Lynchburg, OH, Beverly (Joe) West of New Weston, and Barbara (John) Frey of Colorado Springs, CO, a Brother-in-law, Robert L. Hone of Celina, and a number of Nieces & Nephews.
Preceding him in death were a Daughter, Brandy Lee Flowers, in 2009, Brother & Sister: Allen Eugene Flowers in 2005 and Kathleen Joann "Kathy" Hone in 2013, a Sister-in-law, Connie Flowers-Seals in 2017, and Nephews: Bobby Flowers in 1978 and Jacob Matthew Turner in 1991.
A 1976 graduate of Celina High School, Chet served with the United States Army.
He had worked in construction for Schwieterman's and Tom's Construction, and also was employed at Mersman Furniture.
A "jack of all trades", Chet enjoyed junking and collecting, and traveled weekly and monthly buying and selling at area flea markets.
Favorite pastimes were fishing, and hunting for arrowheads.
Calling Hours are at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, from 2-4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 13, with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00, with Pastor Tony Richmond officiating.
