Carol Louisa Lacy, age 86, of Celina, passed away at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2019, at the Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos.
She was born September 29, 1932, in Van Wert, County, to the late Dewey C. & Frances N. (Bevington) Butler.
Carol married Alfred Lacy on June 13, 1973, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1998.
She is survived by her children: Phyliss Dabe, Dean (Carol) Longsworth and Roy Longsworth, all of Celina, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Carol was preceded in death by a son, Ervin L. Okeley, on November 3, 2016, brothers & sisters: Harold Butler, Johnie Henry Butler, Ida “Jerrie” Beach and Alvina Brandt, son-in-law, Keith Dabe, and an infant daughter, Naomi Longsworth.
A Homemaker, Carol had worked as a Nursing Assistant at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford, and also for other area nursing homes.
She was a member of the Celina Baptist Temple and Celina Moose Lodge #1473. As a pastime, Carol enjoyed crocheting afghans.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 26, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina. Pastor Steve Clayton will officiate.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling Hours are from 2:00 - 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 25, and 12 Noon - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
After the services on Thursday, a dinner will be served for family and friends at the Celina Baptist Temple, 7505 Celina-Mendon Rd., Celina.
